writing / producing / curating

The Brighton Photo Fringe is now one of the country's largest photography grassroots organisations, with more than 120 exhibitions and events accompanying the Brighton Photo Biennial last year. In 2003 Lisa Creagh initiated a loose association of photographers and organisations in Brighton to collaborate in a unified series of exhibitions and events to accompany the inaugural Brighton Photo Biennial, directed by Jeremy Millar.

From 1997-2003 Lisa curated solo and group exhibitions in London and New York. Themes such as The Female Gaze, Cleanliness and Digital Culture were featured in a series of exhibitions.

Short pieces of writing accompanying each body of work provide background and the flow of ideas that lead to each piece. For up to date writing on a broad range of issues, please see my BLOG.
