Residencies and Commissions

 

  • Together with the team at rb&hArts, the charity that manages and promotes the arts at the Hospital, we talked about how best to identify a mother to photograph for this space. Working with the breastfeeding nurse, we gave out cards to prospective mothers and this outreach paid off when Sabrina Byrne, mother to six month old Isabelle volunteered to be photographed at my City College studio in Brighton.

  • I've always loved the quote from Joyce's Ulysees, "There's nothing new under the sun". There is, in  fact, so little in the world that is genuinely 'new'. So what a joy it was to document and witness the unfolding drama of the Rothchild nerines collection this autumn.

    Exbury Gardens Residency & Commission
    I've always loved the quote from Joyce's Ulysees, "There's nothing new under the sun". There is, in fact, so little in the world that is genuinely 'new'. So what a joy it was to document and witness the unfolding drama of the Rothchild nerines collection this autumn.
  • The Instant Garden was created from the position of having retreated to a garden to hide form the harsh realities of life. At that time I could never imagine how far and wide this work would travel to those who needed most: namely those going through a similar process to me.

  • September 2016:I am delighted to have completed the installation ofseveral works for teh opening of a private heart clinic in Wimpole Streeet, London. Featuring the very largest from The Instant Garden series: Floriculture 1, the clinic boasts ten framed pieces from the series.
